10 workers die as scaffolding collapses in Makati building

MAKATI CITY – Ten construction workers were reported killed after the scaffolding of a 39-storey building collapsed in Makati City on Thursday.

Makati Mayor Jejomar “Junjun” Binay Jr. said he was informed that 10 workers at the Eton Residences located at the corner of Paseo de Roxas Avenue and Gallardo Street died in the incident.

Binay said the victims were rushed to the Makati Medical Center and Ospital ng Makati.

The workers were reported fixing the glass windows of the building when the scaffolding collapsed.
