Richard Gutierrez in a quandary with his four lovely girls – or five

Top actor Richard Gutierrez is in an enviable position as the guy who gets his pick from among four different ladies in the Valentine offering, “My Valentine Girls.”

He chooses who among Rhian Ramos, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heusaff and Eugene Domingo he would end up with in the movie. Joining him in his romantic quest is delightful child star Jillian Ward, who plays his sister.

Of all the “Valentine Girls” of Richard in the GMA-Regal romance, the tot is the only one who is with him in all three episodes: “Soulmates,” “BBFF” and “Gunaw.”

And the precocious kid reveals that she teases her Kuya to Rhian, Solenn and Lovi, who play his leading ladies in the first two parts of the movie. Does she pair Richard with comedienne Eugene Domingo?
“Hindi po, kasi hindi po sila bagay,” she says in earnest in a Malaya report.

Richard plays a novelist in the movie who is searching for a girlfriend as he writes his next book, a trilogy of love stories. Who will he end up with? Catch “My Valentine Girls” opening in theaters on February 9 nationwide.

Meanwhile, reports have it that the romance of Richard and actress Jewel Mische is still on.

Showbiz columnist Ethel Ramos reported that although there was never a disclosure that Richard and Jewel have broken up, everyone, assumed that the two had called it quits when she turned Kapamilya while he remained a Kapuso.

But at the presscon of Jewel’s first project with ABS-CBN, “Buhawi Jack,” where she plays Gerald Anderson’s leading lady, the columnist said that the actress may not have articulated it but she had insinuated that her romance with Richard is still ongoing.

Prior to “Buhawi Jack,” Jewel played a woman in love with a gay played by Baron Geisler in an episode of the drama anthology, “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”

In fairness to Richard, he has never admitted nor denied that he is in love with Solenn Heusaff, one of his leading ladies in “My Valentine Girls.”

Her relationship with Richard’s mom, Annabelle Rama, has, likewise, not changed. Jewel said they still talk and exchange messages on the cellphone.
