Portia irks fans of Nora Aunor

Former activist and actress Portia Ilagan is in hot water.

This after admitting that she and superstar Nora Aunor had an affair in the past.

Portia, who now works at the office of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., said she cannot understand why Noranians are up against her for admitting she and Nora had an affair.

“Bakit noong lumabas na nagpakasal sila ni Nori Sayo sa Las Vegas, may mga pruweba pa, hindi sila nag-react ng ganyan?” she told columnist Mario Bautista.

“Mas grabe ‘yun, kinasal pa,” she added. I want to make it clear that I didn’t intentionally go to the radio show of Cristy Fermin to announce that. Sinamahan ko lang dun si Lala Nora, Nora’s cousin. Pag-upo ko, chika-chika.”

Portia said Cristy put her on the spot.

Cristy, she said, asked her in the show: ‘Ayoko ng ibang sagot kundi yes or no. Nagkarelasyon ba kayo ni Nora?’

Portia said she requested Cristy not to talk about it. “Sinabi ko wag nang pag-usapan ‘yun, but you know Cristy, she knows how to extract what she wants to get from you.”

“She knows naman na it really happened kasi common knowledge ‘yun that time sa friends namin ni Nora. It was a beautiful relationship and it’s part of my life. What’s wrong with that?” she said.

“Pero hindi ko pinangangalandakan ‘yun. I never flaunted it. Kung gagawin ko ‘yun, ‘di dapat sana, nu’n pa. I’m also a Noranian at mahal ko siya just like the other Noranians,” she stressed.

Portia added: “At sa panahon ngayon, big deal pa ba ‘yung girl to girl? Bakit si Ellen Degeneres? She admitted her preference, nag-asawa pa, and yet tanggap siya ng tao.”

Like the legions of fans of Nora, Portia is hoping Nora will come back soon in the country from the United States.

“I’m hoping makabalik na nga sana si Nora to show na her fans will not turn their back on her dahil lang sa ganyang mga balita,” she said.

What about the threat of Noranians to confront her about it? “Okay lang sa’kin ‘yun, I have nothing to be afraid of. Basta ba we will talk like civilized people. Pero kung sasaktan nila ako, aba, ‘di mananakit din ako.”
