Thus said GMA Network star Carla Abellana, referring to her father Rey “PJ” Abellana and her real life boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann.
“Just to set the record straight, he was never against him. Ang gusto nya lang ingatan yung career ko,” Carla stressed.
Carla even disclosed that Geoff joined her family at her father’s house during their Christmas celebration, during which her father was able to know more about Geoff.“Naki-celebrate sya ng Christmas with the whole Abellana family and it went well,” she said.
She said she was happy with how 2010 ended.
She admitted that her father and Geoff’s meeting was awkwardness at first, but later went well.
“At first of course may awkwardness kasi we are all aware of the issue, but the night went well and my dad told us na masaya sya kasi sinama ko si Geoff,” she added.
It was learned that PJ was not supportive on his daughter’s relationship with the young actor, saying he believed that it won’t work well especially that they are both in the entertainment industry.
PJ added that the two never sought his advice or blessings when they officially became real-life partners from mere reel partners in their hit television series.
“We’re happy and hoping that we’ll still be happy or happier in the coming months,” she said.
