C.H.I.L.D. Centre opens door for early learners
You’d think Chicago’s lousy weather last Saturday, December 4 at 10 A.M. would stop people from going to the inauguration of the C.H.I.L.D. Centre (Children’s Holistic Integrated Learning and Development) Centre

at 3235 N. Central Avenue in Chicago but no, Ma’am. Invitees, all of them, came in full force. Treasured friends from the home health industry, among them: Dolly Engracia of Carefirst Home Health Services, Inc., Cecil Ceniza of Life Home Health Care, Inc., Gerry Madanguit of Quality Plus Home Care and Jasmine and Roland Sinio of ACS Home Health. Did I hear the Sinios brought that mouth-watering and very tasty lechon? Yum!!

But get this, folks. Secretary of State Jesse White, along with Philippine Consul General of Chicago, Leo Herrera Lim and Regional Director of Tourism Vernie Morales and husband Bob came, too, to cut the ribbon and grace the occasion. That tells you something about the people behind this child care and learning center.

Beloved in the community, Tita Ging and Nonoy Capio, along with their business partners and bosom friends have put together their minds, passion and resources and waited a year to see their dream center finally open its doors to Chicago’s children: toddlers-ages 2years to 2 years and 11 months, preschoolers, ages 3 to 5 with after school programs including Kindergarten to First Grade.

Built to provide an eco-friendly environment and holistic learning and development for the young, impressionistic minds, C.H.I.L.D. Centre boasts of a 3,800 sq. ft. facility with convenient location, providing accessibility from North to South and from East to West of Chicago even by CTA buses.

Till next week, guys. If the weather isn’t too bad, there will be more goings on in this wonderful city of Chicago and its suburbia. Given the holidays, I won’t be surprised if I’d run out of space for all these happenings. Until then, keep warm.
