Bishop Cruz to take his Ph.D at UST

MANILA — At 76, retired Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Oscar Cruz will be attending classes again.

This, as he wants to enroll in Ph.D program on organization and development at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila this coming semester.

“I’m enrolling for a Ph.D. If I do not meet the qualifications, no problem. But if I meet their qualifications then they should accept my enrollment,” he said.

The prelate noted that he wants to study again as a challenge to himself.

“I’d like to be challenged. I don’t want to be stationary … that is a good challenge, I guess!,” he added.

Cruz is also looking forward to his graduation with his fellow students since he never experienced this before.
