ShareThisSenator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. celebrated last week his 44th birthday in a party at the ballroom of the Diamond Hotel along Roxas boulevard in Manila.
During the party,his supporters asked the question: Is he more of a politician now than a showbiz celebrity?
The question was raised because it was noticeable that there were more politicians, political leaders and friends and associates present than showbiz celebrities during the party, said respected showbiz columnist Ethel Ramos.

It was reported that the top guns of GMA 7, producer of his Sunday show, “Kap’s Amazing Stories,” headed by Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar and Joey Abacan, were at his party.
Also there was the likeable Malou Fagar, executive producer of the noontime show on GMA 7, “Eat! Bulaga” and a top executive of APT Entertainment, which produces the longest-running show.
Also there were Mother Lily Monteverde, German Moreno, Solar Entertainment head Wilson Tieng and talent manager Girlie Rodis who was with former Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap.
The young senator Bong Revilla was surrounded by his sisters Andrea Ynares, Rowena Mendiola and Princess Ocampo during the party, who were all teary-eyed, when he, with wife, Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, and son, Jolo Revilla, blew 44 candles on his cake.
The senator profusely thanked his dad, former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., for caring for him and his siblings and for still constantly guiding him in all his endeavors.
Also there were his brothers, Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla, and Marlon Bautista, who was with wife Gigi de la Riva, a former actress.
