Asia’s rising pop star.
This is the title given to the Filipina teen singing sensation Charice Pempengco by Newsweek magazine.

Newsweek featured Charice in the magazine a week before the premiere showing of the second season of the US hit TV series “Glee,” where Charice is its newest cast.
In an interview with Newsweek, multi-award winning producer David Foster said he sees Charice in popular singer Celine Dion. They have something in common when they started, he said.
For Foster, Charice will be able to place Asia in the map as a global superstar.
According to award-winning director of Glee, Ryan Murphy, it seems angels are flying every time Charice sings.
