Pacquiao ready to give Bradley’s first defeat, will retire a world champion, vows Roach

LOS ANGELES, California – Filipino world boxing icon Manny Pacquiao may yet deliver the first loss of undefeated American champion Timothy Bradley Jr.
This as the fighting congressman stepped up his training at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, a proof that he is determined to revive his fortune following two losses, one against Bradley and another from his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marques in their fourth battle.

Pacquiao’s American coach Freddie Roach himself admitted that his ward is in a good condition and has all the skills to deliver the blow on Bradley and avenge his controversial loss to the American in 2012.
Roach said: “I think yeah, he will be the best Manny Pacquiao we’ve seen in a long time because it will have to be. That’s the only Manny Pacquiao that can deal with Tim Bradley. If he’s compassionate, he won’t be able to deal with me, period.”
Roach even predicted that his prized pupil will retire with a world title.
Pacquiao will face Bradley on April 12 (US time) in their rematch at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bradley, on the other hand, said he would not allow the fighting Filipino congressman to knock him down or win decisively in their rematch.
Bradley said he wants to fight a good Pacquiao to be able to gain a new record. “He’s gotta kill me to defeat me,” Bradley stressed in an interview.
“Good, good, great, fantastic. I want the best Manny Pacquiao. So when I whoop him, when I whoop you, then I’ll get even more credit. I want the best. I don’t want no excuses at the end of the night. Zero excuses,” Bradley said.
“Don’t show no compassion. Don’t show me none of that. I want the best Manny Pacquiao in the world,” the American champion dared. “I want to fight the best. I want to put on a great show for all the fans on pay-per-view. I want to beat him, I want to put on a great show and I want to get what I didn’t get in the first fight, and that’s the credit I beat Manny Pacquiao. That’s it. That’s that.”
“On April 12, everyone is going to witness something great. I’m telling you I’m ready to go,” Bradley ended. “I’m so fired up, I’m so determined, Manny Pacquiao gotta kill me to stop me.”
Roach said that Pacquiao’s fight with Bradley could be one of his remaining three fights.
Other bouts being eyed for the 35-year-old Filipino are a possible rematch and fifth encounter against Juan Manuel Marquez and the supposed dream superfight with current pound for pound king and American champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“Manny is really motivated for this fight,” said Roach in a report by the Press Telegram.
“We decided no matter how many fights we have remaining, we are determined to run the table and win every one,” Roach added.
Pacquiao is seen by many boxing experts as a future boxing hall of famer, being the only boxer in the world to win eight world titles in as many weight classes.
